1. Evaluate

During the initial meeting, the therapist will gather some basic information that is often required by your pay source. This is used to determine if outpatient services are the appropriate care for you. This may include the use of reliable and valid screenings proven to provide an accurate diagnosis.

2. Listen

Here is where you will have the opportunity to tell your story. Why you are seeking counseling and how did you get here?

3. Plan

This is the process where we discuss where you want to be and how we are going to get there. What is your end goal and what results would be ideal for you and/or your family or spouse?

4. Treat

Now is time to implement some tools that will help you carry out the plan. How do we tap into your strengths to achieve your goal? This may include: Reframing, improving communication, learning new coping skills and more.

5. Support

During the final stages, we discuss how you can utilize resources in the community and with your support systems. We want you to walk away with tools to help you find success and be able to maintain less symptomatic. This may also include how to reach back out to us in the future if you feel the need. We are always here to help.
